Yes, it’s been a whole year since Jade entered my life. Beautiful, majestic, powerful Jade.

Yup, yesterday was one year ago that Jade showed up on my lap (figuratively speaking. She’s a hefty girl) and made me one proud kitchen goddess. I’ve put her to work this past year, despite her grumbles and limited counter space. She’s made many mouths and stomachs happy with her carefully-combined cheesecake, wonderfully-whipped mashed potatoes and meticulously-mixed homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Jade has been a blessing in the food department. She’s growing up so fast, too! I can’t wait to see what adventures we’ll get in together this next year of our lives together. I’m hoping she’ll surprise me and whip up a batch of homemade cupcakes, or pasta, or even one proclaimed “only pizza dough you will ever need.”
