I am leaving to Denver, but it’s not a midnight flight. It’s a 6:55 a.m. flight, which may very well feel like midnight when I get to the airport at 5:55 a.m.
Oh yeah, I’m rebelling and showing up only an hour early, as opposed to the recommended two. AND I’m checking a bag. AND I will refuse a scan and take the full body exam. Who wouldn’t?!
That’s right, I’m going to Denver to spend the long weekend with my beloved sister.
The good news is, when I get back, I’ll have lots of foodie adventures to blog about. Who knows, I may just blog about them in real time, ’cause I’m an online journalist and always on top of my game (translation: I have no friends or life). Here’s what we have planned:
- We’re going to the Taste of Colorado, which hopefully will have a broad spectrum of flavors and not be limited to weird Colorado foods, like fried alligator, elk and rattlesnake…
- We’re hitting up a Rockies game (boo!) where hot dogs will be consumed, unfortunately not by yours truly.
- We’re going to some Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives locations, like Bagel Deli.
- And I’m sure Stacy will cook up something delicious and sinful for our Labor Day BBQ at Wash Park. Cause she’s motherly like that (she’s the oldest in the family, which makes for one very nurturing personality).
And here’s another picture, just because we’re so damn cute:
Anyone here ever been to Denver? Did you love it? Hate it? This is only my third time in 6 years, so I’m pretty stoked. Any foodie recommendations?
